William “Bill” Corbin joined Team Gilbert in 1993 as a Service Technician at Gilbert Chevrolet and recently celebrated his 28th “work” anniversary! During his 28 years here at Gilbert Chevrolet he has seen the industry grow and change. He’s even had the privilege to work with Jim Kenbeek, who taught Bill “persistence”.

When asked what was the most challenging thing about his current position he stated, “Every day is challenging. Modern vehicles aren’t as easy to diagnose or repair like they were in the past.” Because of this, Bills keeps up with the ever-changing industry by maintaining his GM Certification training as well as other automotive classes.

We asked Bill what he remembered about his first day. He replied, “I always knew I wanted to work for Chevrolet. I remember working on an electrical problem on a Pontiac Grand Am that had a loose connection in the fuse panel on my first day.” And to think, that was 28 years ago. Bill is a role model to any service technician, whether seasoned or new to the industry. He uses his vast knowledge in the automotive industry to help guide and teach anyone who joins Team Gilbert.

When he’s not diagnosing an electrical problem Bill is enjoying his day fishing or catching up on his NASCAR races. Bill, we can’t thank you enough for your 28 years here at Gilbert Chevrolet, all of your hard work, and dedication. We look forward to many more years with you.
